Corporate Legal
The Corporate Legal team oversees Wakam's legal framework as a group of companies: corporate law, governance, vendor contracts, intellectual property. We make sure the group's legal structure is solid and ready to support growth. Operating across two regulated entities between France and the UK, every corporate decision has a legal dimension, and it's our job to make it simple and actionable.
Legal Partnerships
The Legal Partnership team sits at the heart of every partnership Wakam builds. We draft, negotiate and manage the commercial and distribution contracts underpinning our 350+ partnerships across Europe, from delegation agreements to distribution agreements, RFPs and legal feasibility analyses.
We combine deep insurance law expertise with the pragmatism and speed that define Wakam. We maintain our own clause libraries, playbooks and templates to move fast without cutting corners.
Compliance
The Compliance squad covers regulatory compliance, relationships with supervisors (ACPR, FCA/PRA), AML/KYC, and regulatory reporting. We're the direct point of contact for regulators, and the guarantee that Wakam plays by the rules in every jurisdiction.
For us, compliance is an enabler, not a blocker.
Internal Audit
The Internal Audit squad provides independent assurance over Wakam's operations, processes and controls. We assess risks, test internal controls, and deliver actionable recommendations to the Board and Comex.
As the third line of defence, we operate with full independence, but always with a constructive approach. In a fast-growing, multi-country group, our work is essential to maintaining the trust of regulators, reinsurers and partners.
Risk
The Risk squad ensures Wakam operates to the highest regulatory standards: risk management, internal control, Solvency II, risk modeling. In a company that moves fast and operates across 30+ countries, our job is to make sure speed never comes at the expense of rigour.
